Send Bread to Christian Peace Witness for Iraq
Christian Peace Witness for Iraq: April 29-30: Washington, DC
Christian Peace Witness for Iraq will gather thousands of loaves of bread Wednesday night, April 29, in front of the White House, calling our nation to repent of our trust in the powers of death and to choose instead the way of life. Each loaf will be accompanied with a monetary contribution: the bread will be shared with the hungry of our nation’s capital; the financial gift will support the people of Iraq.
Whether or not you can come to Washington D.C. on April 29, YOU CAN SHARE THE BREAD OF LIFE. To donate bread: please send $10: $7 to the people of Iraq and $3 for the loaf CPWI will purchase. The $7 will go directly to support the people of Iraq. The total received will be shared between Direct Aid Iraq, a humanitarian and peace-building project working with Iraqi refugees to build friendship and solidarity and provide funds for crucial medical expenses; and Mennonite Central Committee Iraq ministry, supporting distribution of food and medicine, grants for public health education and conflict resolution workshops for Iraqi humanitarian organizations.
