Relevance X: Making New Disciples
Feb 12-13, 2010
Las Vegas, NV

Relevance, the young adult ministry of The Desert Southwest Conference, is hosting an exciting conference for young adults (age 18-30) in Las Vegas, NV.  The conference will explore the concept of the power of ten. This theme will be woven throughout the event, challenging participants to imagine the power of ten new disciples, of ten new faith communities, of ten social justice projects. It will focus on empowering young adults to become leaders in their communities by developing their leadership skills, uniting their voices, and actively creating change in their districts. Spiritual formation will be a keystone of the conference, both in terms of spiritual formation of the participants during the conference and in terms of equipping participants to assist in the spiritual formation of those to who they will subsequently minister to in their own communities.  In addition to the need to grow the Church, there is a more specific need for leadership development among young adults, particularly in the Desert Southwest. There are many young adults with the potential for leadership who need the paths, opportunities, resources, or voice to use their God-given abilities. This event will be a first step in these gifted young adults together with established church leaders to support and empower them.  For more information on lodging, travel and to register for the event, visit
