There are two annual conferences in the state of Alabama; Alabama-West Florida Conference and the North Alabama Conference.
While we have organizing contacts throughout the state, there is not an active MFSA chapter in this area. We need your help in organizing and uniting other justice seeking United Methodists. Are you interested in starting a chapter or searching for others in your area who are committed to putting their faith into action? If so contact MFSA Headquarters in Washington, DC. Our Headquarters can offer ways to connect with others locally and support efforts for organizing a chapter.
What Chapters Do?
Individuals who want to be involved with local work of MFSA join a chapter. Each MFSA chapter is an autonomous gathering of United Methodists, connected to other chapters and the Headquarters by common concern for justice and peace, information sharing and mutual support. Because of their unique situations and callings, chapters vary in organization, goals, leadership structure and style. Chapters work and actions often reflect the overarching priorities of MFSA: peace, poverty, people’s rights and progressive initiatives.
At the Annual Conference level, chapters publish newsletters, work cooperatively with Boards of Church and Society and other conference agencies, introduce legislation at Annual Conference sessions, sponsor seminars and retreats and hold other events to inform educate and motivate people to take action for justice.
We invite you to join with us as people of faith on this journey of justice.

But with Miller and Gibbs only there for one year, and Phil Nolan and Omar Calhoun going into their senior seasons, the Huskies will have numerous scholarships to offer for 2016.
