When MFSA started the Justice Seeking Communities program, we recognized it as a natural fit for who we are as a congregation. From the 1960's, Dumbarton has been involved in social justice ministries -- from providing shelter for anti-war protestors during the Vietnam era to producing a musical ("Alice in Blunderland') which was a cautionary tale about the proliferation of nuclear weapons, to being active in the sanctuary movement. Dumbarton has advocated for peace and justice in the Middle East, has been a Reconciling Congregation since 1987. Today, members of Dumbarton march for Common Sense Gun Laws, rally as a counterbalance love alternative to white supremacist hate groups, exam our lives to understand our privilege, and steadfastly work for full inclusion of LGBTQIA+ people in the life ministries of the United Methodist Church.
Sunday worship is at 11:00 a.m. Summer worship (Memorial Day - Labor Day) is at 10:00 a.m.
All are invited to worship with us. Come as you are!
