East Ohio MFSA: “Race Matters: What Can I Do?”

East Ohio MFSA launched a multi-week study addressing racial justice titled “Race Matters: What Can I Do?” via Zoom on August 3, 2020. The study emerged from a Resolution presented by MFSA to the 2020 Annual Conference, endorsed by East Ohio social justice units, including RMN, UMW, CORR, and the Board of Church and Society entitled, “A Call for East Ohio United Methodists to Address Racism in our churches and
communities.”

We have work to do. And no one can do it for us...

The “Race Matters: What Can I Do?” study provides space and resources useful for dismantling racism both personally and communally. Racism must be confronted at both the personal and institutional levels to intervene in attitudes, behaviors, and practices that deny equal access and perpetuate harm.
