How You Can Be Involved Making A Difference!
The Methodist Federation for Social Action is comprised of chapters, small groups (Sunday School classes) and individual passionate United Methodists seeking to make a difference. MFSA has chapters in 35 of the UMC’s 65 Annual Conferences within the U.S. Each MFSA chapter is an autonomous gathering of people connected to other chapters and the national office by common concern for justice and peace, information sharing and mutual support. Chapters work and actions reflect the national priorities of MFSA: peace, poverty, people’s rights and progressive initiatives. At the Annual Conference level, chapters publish newsletters, work cooperatively with Boards of Church and Society and other conference agencies, introduce legislation at Annual Conference sessions, sponsor seminars and retreats and hold other events to inform, educate, and motivate people to take action for justice.
